Virbac Antiparasitic Collar Prevendog for Large Dogs

Prevendog is an antiparasitic collar based on deltamethrin, which protects against infestations of deltamethrin-sensitive parasites such as ticks, sandflies and mosquito bites. Prevendog Collar has a repellent (anti-feeding) effect against mosquitoes and sandflies.

Thanks to its advanced technology deltamethrin is released continuously, constantly and evenly throughout the dog's body. 

Features:

The molding process at moderate temperatures achieves a homogeneous texture of the matrix for a continuous release of the drug.
Deltamethrin is released from the collar into the fatty film covering the skin, spreading over the skin surface through lipids and hair.
Thanks to its formulation, it acts with the lipid layer of the skin, distributing deltamethrin throughout the body.

Advantages:

It acts by contact, offering up to 6 months of protection against ticks (I. ricinus, R. sanguineus) and mosquitoes and 5 against sandflies.

Protection against:

Phlebotomes:Up to 10 months of protection (all season).Prevendog® has a repellent (anti-feeding) effect against phlebotomes (Phlebotomus perniciosus), vectors of canine leishmaniasis.

Mosquitoes:Up to one year of protection.Thanks to its repellent (anti-feeding) action, Prevendog® is very effective against mosquito bites such as Culex pipiens, vector of heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis) and skin worm diseases (Dirofilaria repens).

Ticks: Up to one year of acaricidal effect. Its acaricidal action also protects against ticks, including Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus. Ticks can spread Lyme disease and other diseases.

Sizes adapted to each dog:

Choose the size that best suits each dog.

- S + M (up to 25 kg) The 60 cm collar fits necks up to 48 cm.

- L + XL (over 25 kg) 75 cm collar fits necks up to 65 cm.

 
How to use:

Take the collar out of the envelope.
Holding the main clasp with one hand, separate the protective strip.
Place the collar around the dog's neck.
Holding the main clasp between thumb and forefinger, press lightly to facilitate the passage of the other end.
Pressing the main clasp, pull the entire collar through. Adjust it so that, between the collar and the collar, you can place two fingers. This way, the dog is not uncomfortable and the collar works better.
Repeat the procedure, passing the collar through the second and third clasp.
Cut off the excess end, leaving 5-7 cm for later adjustments.
After attaching the collar, wash your hands.
Do not let children play with the collar.
For continued protection, replace the collar every 6 months.

Contraindications:

In rare cases local skin reactions (pruritus, erythema, hair loss) may appear on the collar or on the skin in general.
In this case, remove the collar and the symptoms will diminish 48 hours after removal.
Do not use during pregnancy or lactating bitches.
