Dental Care
Dental problems often occur in small mammals. In most cases, these are a direct consequence of an inadequate diet which does not sufficiently support the necessary natural wear and tear of the teeth and their continued growth. The addition of specific whole long fibres with a high silicate content to Chinchilla Complete pellets guarantees maximum chewing activity, the necessary tooth wear and good oral health.
Fresh Vegetables
The extrusion process allows fresh vegetables to be added to the pellets. The addition of at least 10% fresh vegetables ensures a more appetising taste. In addition, together with the fibres and texture of the pellets, Chinchilla Complete becomes an ideal feed for chinchillas, with a high level of intake.
Long Fibres
Chinchillas are naturally herbivores which require a diet with a sufficiently high fibre content and a low starch content. Chinchilla Complete contains 20% crude fibre. However, what is most unique is the manufacturing process, which allows this Complete food to contain long, silicate-rich fibres, which are not ground up, like those present in natural foods. These long fibres help to improve the functioning of the gut and mouth more effectively than the finely shredded fibres of classic rodent feeds.
Low Calorie
The combination of low energy content, low starch content and high content of long dietary fibres incorporated into the extruded pellets themselves provides an easily digestible and balanced diet.
